What If I have experienced severe hair loss due to an illness or chemical damage? Is this type of wig right for me?

This system is highly recommended for anyone with any kind of hair loss or undergoing Chemotherapy. If you suffer from severe hair loss, it's would be best if you invested in a full lace unit.

How will moisture affect my wig?

You can do your usual activities with this wig on daily. Only avoid swimming or sweating for 24 hours after applying adhesives and tapes. If you use the Safe Grip Copolymer bond, you only have to wait until it is dry. Other than that, no one will ever know the hair is not growing from your own scalp! Also make sure you use a waterproof adhesive. Not all adhesives and glues are waterproof.

How long will my wig last?

A lace wig unit can last for many months or even years depending on your usage and upkeep. The types of glues that are used during the application method also applies to the life span of your unit. For example, the lace wig can be compared to the tires on car; of course the more you drive your car, the more worn down the tires become and the need for replacement tires becomes greater. The idea remains that if you plan to wear your wig more often, the natural need for a new unit will become greater as the hair naturally degrades due to extended periods of use.

Can I style my wig with curling irons, roller sets, beauty products etc?

Yes. Remy hair can be dyed, permed, styled, set and blown dry to suit the owner.  It is the softest  natural hair available to buy.  This hair is not something you see in at the beauty supply store. Because of its quality, most people pay around  $900 - $3500 and up for these same wigs.

What's the difference between French and Swiss lace and a silk top?

French lace is more durable and will hold up better over the long run. Swiss lace is slightly thinner, and a little less detectable, however it is less durable and it rips easier. It's hard to tell the difference between the two. Swiss lace is not recommended for first time users. It is best to learn how to apply the wig and become skilled at the application prior to advancing to Swiss lace.  Both laces can be matched with the color of your scalp.

A silk top can be installed in both French and Swiss lace units.  The top of crown contains a piece of silk (usually 4x4 or 5x5 in.) through which individual hairs are injected. The knots are hidden under the silk base and are not visible, giving the illusion of hair growing directly from your scalp and unbelievably real (see photo below). The silk base can be ordered in the colors light brown, medium brown and dark brown.

What hair textures do I have to choose from?

Which texture is right for me?

We offer many more textures.. just send us a photo if you do not see it listed here or shown in the texture photo gallery.

This is what you may be asking yourself now. With such a large array of textures available, it can be overwhelming to choose between them. Whatever texture you opt for depends on your priorities when it comes to wearing lace wigs.

If your goal is to make it look REAL:

Then you should choose a texture that most closely matches your own hair.

  • Silky Straight is exactly as the name says - straight, silky, smooth and shiny.
  •  Indian Remy silky straight hair dries with a slight wave after washing.
  • Yaki is slightly coarser than Light Yaki. This texture resembles coarse hair that has been straightened or relaxed.
  • Kinky Straight looks like natural Afro hair which has been blow-dried straight.

If you like full, thick hair:

Although stock wigs are medium density, you will find that Body wave, Kinky Straight, Italian Yaki, Brazilian Curl, Spanish Wave or Natural Curl textures have the most body and volume. Alternatively, you may want to order a custom-made wig from us and ask for a higher density.

How will the hairline on my wig look?

Most wigs have a standard (straight across) hairline. If you would like a wig with a widow’s peak, it must be custom made.

What are the color choices for my wig?

Stock colors for our wigs are Natural (for virgin wigs), #1, #1B, #2, #4

Other colors will need to be custom made.

*Please see color chart for hair color options.

What types of hair can I select from for my wig?

We offer three types of hair:

Virgin hair: (Indian and Chinese)
Virgin hair is hair that has not been processed at all. All cuticles are intact, and it has not been colored, straightened or chemically altered in any way. Therefore, the hair quality is superb.  Virgin Indian hair is usually dark brown and sometimes medium brown shades. Virgin chinese is usually the darkest brown, and sometimes black.  Because all people are different,  Virgin Chinese and Indian hair can be straight, wavy or curly. Virgin hair has its cuticle intact and it is placed in the same direction hair, thus, no tangles.Although all lace wig textures require proper maintenance and care, Chinese Virgin hair requires less than other textures. Chinese hair does not hold a curl as well as other types of hair, as it is quite heavy and thick

Indian Remy hair:
The term Remy means that the cuticle is still intact.  Regular hair extensions no longer have cuticle, gets tangled and quickly loses its lustre.Remy hair can be colored and/or processed for texture, but as long as the cuticle is intact, the hair is still Remy.
Although virgin hair can be textured, Remy hair is used for textured wigs.

**All three types of hair units are in stock and can be custom made.

What is the difference between a full lace and a lace front wig?

In general, Full Lace wigs base systems are regarded as the most natural appearing of hairpieces, but they are also the most fragile.

The Lace Front units have mesh (lace) along the front hairline. It has the natural scalp look only in the very front of the wig. The remainder of the wig is like a traditional net wig (machine made) and cannot be parted or pulled into a ponytail.  Only the front hairline is lace, thus, the term "Lace Front".

A Full Lace unit is a wig that can be parted any place on the head and the entire unit is handmade.

What is the difference between stock and custom units?

A stock unit is a unit that we have in stock in a general size.

A custom unit is a unit that is made to your specifications.

Custom Units takes roughly 4-5 weeks to make and ship to you.

You will have your stock unit within one week.

Both wigs are used with the same quality hair, and generally cost the same amount, unless your custom unit is ordered with extra options.
